I am trying to hook up my Neo-6M GPS module to my Arduino Uno but am having some trouble getting GPS data out of it.

The code being used was taken from the TinyGPS library. I have set the SoftwareSerial ports in the constructor to 2 and 3 (check images at bottom for reference). I set to the boad rate of the software serial so that it matches that of the Neo-6M. The datasheet for the module can be found here.

The output that comes out of the Arduino serial monitor looks like this:

A new line is added to this every second, and when the line is added the TX light on the Arduino blinks. The 'Chars RX' 0 would indicate that the SoftwareSerial isn't reading any data at all from the module. I can't for the life of me figure out why this is happening! Any help would be much appreciated.

Gray wire should be plug on pin2. SoftwareSerial ss(2, 3); means pin2 for Receive(RX) and pin3 for Transmit(TX). The Transmit(TX) on Neo-6M should be connected to Receive(RX) on Arduino.
