I'm pretty sure I fried my Arduino Uno. Given my setup, what caused it to be fried? (I can't identify the short)
@PandaLion98 I connected it through the barrel plug connector, which to me seems like no problem because of the voltage regulator. Is it possible I got a crappy board with a bad voltage regulator?

Thanks for the info page. What do you mean by reversing the leads? I used the 2.1 mm center-positive barrel plug connector on the arduino so wouldn't that be impossible? Also, I didn't have anything wired to the vcc pin, and the Vcc pin was wired to the input voltage on the stepper motor driver.

@PandaLion98 does the arduino uno even have a RAW pin? (sorry if its obvious or something; I am new to arduino)

The board doesn't get hot when I plug it in now, BUT it was hot right after the incident. Like I said, I'm pretty sure its fried, I'm just trying to figure out why so I don't do it again.

I had tested other devices and know that neither my computer nor the cord are the issue.
