in Adafruit_SSD1306.cpp try to remove || defined(ARDUINO_ARCH_RP2040) on line 41, which I guess was added for the 'pico core' which is preferred by Adafruit for their RP2040 boards

The first entry that came up in Google for me concerns the same issue with another library by the same developer. See https://github.com/Bodmer/TFT_eSPI/issues/1148. The workaround/solution here is apparently to comment out the line #include <pgmspace.h> in Adafruit_SSD1306.cpp.
