I am trying to replicate a basic Arduino Pro Micro. Later I will add some LEDs and some digital sensors to my PCB. For now my question would be, if this PCB design covers all the necessary parts to act as an Arduino?

I will use a USBasp to bootload and a FTDI232 for uploading my Arduino sketch.

I have never designed a PCB so I really don't have a clue. I have simply brought together schematics from Arduino's website and videos I have found online.

  • On some schematics I have seen some more decoupling capacitors connected between GND and VCC. Would that be necessary or have I added enough ? Maybe someone could explain to me why I would need more than one decoupling capacitor between GND and VCC
