I am new to iot, I currently have an esp8266 and a "3.5" 480x320 TFT screen and I would like to know if anyone has an example of wiring for an esp8266 and TFT Shield screen

IMAGE ESP8266

IMAGE SCREEN TFT

Here is the pin configuration for now

LCD_RST <=> RST

LCD_CS <=> GND
LCD_RS <=> GPIO15
LCD_WR <=> GPIO14
LCD_RD <=> 3V
LCD_D0 <=> GPIO0
LCD_D1 <=> GPIO1
LCD_D2 <=> GPIO2
LCD_D3 <=> GPIO3
LCD_D4 <=> GPIO4
LCD_D5 <=> GPIO5
LCD_D6 <=> GPIO12
LCD_D7 <=> GPIO13

  • You have the wiring right there. What don't you understand about it?

  • You might want to check this to help you decide which pins to use (one of the best written articles on RNT) randomnerdtutorials.com/esp8266-pinout-reference-gpios On nodeMCU pins might have different function at different times. You don't get these problems with base Arduino boards like nano (or they are rare). If you have a specific problem state it. On NodeMCU GPIO0 is not same as D0, so make sure you wont mix them up. Alternatively, use them as D1, D2 the way they are marked on a board.
