so I noticed very interesting feature of Arduino MKR WiFi 1010 board. As they say in the product description

Its USB port can be used to supply power (5V) to the board. It has a Li-Po charging circuit that allows the Arduino MKR WiFi 1010 to run on battery power or an external 5 volt source, charging the Li-Po battery while running on external power. Switching from one source to the other is done automatically.

Now I’m wondering , if this feature is available on other boards (I’m especially interested in Arduino clones).

If you know some board with this (or similar) feature, I’d be really grateful.

  • if they had it, it'd be advertised. Most common item to come with such a circuit would be a battery pack; sometimes they're so small, its hard to tell them apart from a bare battery by size.
