I am currently working on a project where I have to read data from sensors and save it on a local MongoDB database using REST API. I am considering an edge case where wifi is not available I have to save it on SD card. How can I upload this saved data on REST API or using any other methods when wifi is again available? I am new to Arduino and web development

  • It is unclear to me, where the actual problem is. The workflow would be something like this: Check, if Wifi is available. If no, save on SD card. If yes read from SD card and send the data from SD card via POST webrequests to the API, then send the current data. Where exactly do you have problems? – chrisl Feb 2 at 11:09
  • I understand this ... you are able to upload data to the server ... if you save the data to an SD card, and read it back, then you are no longer able to upload the data ... you are still able to upload data that has not been saved ... is my understanding correct? – jsotola Feb 2 at 17:33
  • @jsotola that is a problem as well – shantesh Kulkarni Feb 4 at 3:52
  • The main problem is that reading the data from sd card and then uploading I think is little inefficient is there someway I can upload the .txt file from the controller – shantesh Kulkarni Feb 4 at 3:55
