Earlier all my ESP8266 Wi-Fi modules connected and functioned well using D-Link DSL2750U router but now since I changed to D-Link DIR615 router none of the same ESP8266 wi-fi modules connect. (SSID and Pwd are entered accordingly in their sketches). I tried using WiFiscan sketch in Arduino IDE, it does show the available Wi-Fi names in serial monitor but when I try to connect using the WiFIClient sketch it does nothing, the serial monitor keeps showing endless line of dots. Nor does the Routers admin status shows any of the ESPs connected. I've also tried changing the router's Wi-fi settings as shown in the other post here. like MODE, CHANNEL AND BANDWIDTH. Request someone to please help.

  • I had something similar when I changed to a new router. I found that disabling DDOS protection on the router fixed it. – Majenko Jan 14 at 12:44
  • Tried ... but no luck, doesn't, make any difference – Gilbert Ferns Jan 19 at 8:14
