I am not sure if anyone out there is familiar with the PS2X module at all but I am seeming to have a few problems with it. Firstly whenever the square button gets pressed down on by me, all of the other 3 buttons (triangle, circle, and x) all detect that they have been pressed on when I have not actually pressed them down. The second problem is that I am using the 2 analogue joysticks on the PS2 remote to control the motors. The joysticks work by the top area being 0, the middle being 128 and the bottom area being 255. Sometimes for example when the joystick is in the centre the joystick detects 255 for about one tenth of a second (which would be indicating the joystick is downwards when I actually have it in the centre). The remote I am using is a PlayStation 2 wireless remote. The remote dongle is fully wired correctly to the arduino. Here is the link for the PS2X module: https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/electropeak/how-to-interface-ps2-wireless-controller-w-arduino-a0a813

  • all detect that they have been pressed how do you know this? – jsotola Nov 5 '20 at 23:26
  • @jsotola I used IF statement for when each of the buttons it pressed and prints a line into the Serial mentioning something along the lines like "circle pressed". When I press down on the square one, all the other buttons print off the statement saying something along the lines like "triangle has been pressed" or "x has been pressed" – DigitalRookie4 Nov 6 '20 at 10:26
