I am trying to Program arduino Nano using ICSP but the problem is uploaded program only works as longs as Nano is connected to UNO. Here is what i am trying.

  1. Upload arduinoISP program in UNO.
  2. Make connection b/w UNO and Nano.
  3. Upload my program(A simple led blinking programs) to UNO(with Programmer Option as "Arduino as ISP" an board as Nano)

Edit : In #3 when i uploaded the program it works as long as both uno and nano are connected, but as soon as i remove icsp connection b/w two Arduino Led blinking program stops on nano. I expect it to work as in case of programming nano through USB will work, i.e, uplaod the program once and use it .

What program? What makes you think it doesn't work? What is supposed to happen? What actually happens? You've really given us nothing to go on here. Not sure what you expect. – Delta_G Jul 11 '20 at 20:14
  • @Delta_G updated questions , pls check now. – Nawnit Sen Jul 11 '20 at 20:34
  • Once you remove the ICSP connection, how are you getting power to the Nano? Again, what program? – Delta_G Jul 11 '20 at 20:49
  • Please not "something like this", show us EXACTLY what you have. The stuff you show on that instructable worked. Nobody needs to debug that. We need to figure out what YOU did wrong on the one YOU have. – Delta_G Jul 11 '20 at 20:51

Vin requires at least 7 V. it is the input of the power regulator. wire 5 V to 5 V pin – Juraj Jul 12 '20 at 18:04
