I want to know is it possible to control an Arduino through a website. I have seen some tutorials that are doing it but it is in a local network. What i am trying to do is : - Arduino connected to internet ( wifi/ethernet). - Website. - Login to website from anywhere in the world. - Control the Arduino by sending commands from the website itself.

Thanks for your response.

yes, that's possible. the simplest implementation would be for the browser and MCU to both have a websocket connection to an internet-reachable server, speaking as peers without any firewall or routing headaches. – dandavis Jan 28 '20 at 19:27

  • you can use one of many services which have a ready to use library for Arduino. Arduino has a maker cloud, Adafruit has a maker cloud, ... – Juraj Jan 28 '20 at 19:30

If you want to connect an arduino to the Web over wifi, the best way would be to use an Esp32, so you have the WiFi on the same chip, much more memory and cheaper (~5$) – Adriano Jan 28 '20 at 20:13
