If you use the UNO as a programmer, do you connect the Mega after programming to the PC. If it is not connected the Mega, it can not write to the PC. It can not write through the UNO connection. The UNO is just a programmer. – Peter Paul Kiefer Nov 1 '19 at 10:17
  • No Sir, I don't connect mega to Pc after programming, but can I have any method or what to be done by which the serial. println statements are displayed in the Arduino-Ide with Arduino-Uno as programmer and Arduino-Mega2560 as a target.Thank you Sir. – Paulson Raja L Nov 1 '19 at 11:23
  • No, I fear there is no chance to transfer text to the PC over a serial Interface if you do not connect the interface to the PC. You could use a USB to serial Adapter (FTDI) and connect it to the Mega serial pins. But the best way is to connect the Mega to the PC over the USB connector. Why not? If you only need a visual reaction of the mega, let it blink an LED. If you are interested in the text, an LCD display might help. But if you want to priint into the serial monitor you need a serial connection over a COM port. – Peter Paul Kiefer Nov 1 '19 at 13:35
  • Still one thing: You forgot the precede your comment with my name. So I was not notified of your comment and only saw it by chance, while closing browser tabs. To procede my name write simply @PeterPaulKiefer (no spaces) – Peter Paul Kiefer Nov 1 '19 at 13:39
