ESP8266 reacts as expected when I issue the command:
digitalWrite(D2, HIGH); // = OFF ESP.deepSleep(300000000);
which switches a relay OFF and enters a deepSleep state.
ESP8266 reacts NOT as expected when I issue the command:
digitalWrite(D2, LOW); // = ON
// delay(300000); // 5*60*1000 milliseconds
It doesn't goto deepSleep and skips the command.
That is to say: the moment the relay activates, deepSleep is over.
However it acts normal on the delay() command.
One way or the other the switching on of the relay issues the RST command as well.
RST is switched over D0 and RST The relay is switched over D2
