I'm experiencing something strange. I opened the default ESP32 example "OTAWebUpdater" in the ArduinoIDE and modified just the network part (I created a soft AP instead). The problem is, when I connect my Android phone to the AP, I can OTA update just fine, but when I connect a laptop and try to update, it gives me an error saying "not found: serverIndex". The error occurs after selecting the .bin file and clicking the "update" button. I already tried with 3 different laptops. Any thoughts?

Below is the code:

#include <WiFiClient.h>
#include <WebServer.h>
#include <ESPmDNS.h>
#include <Update.h>

const char* host = "esp32";
const char* ssid = "OTAWebUpdater";
const char* password = "123456789";

WebServer server(80);

  • Are you sure you wanted to use window.open('/serverIndex')? I would have thought document.location='/serverIndex' would be a better choice. – Majenko Aug 1 at 10:23
  • Just changed it, thanks. – Akiyama Aug 1 at 12:43
  • Did it change the behaviour at all? – Majenko Aug 1 at 13:27
