I am new to the world of electronics so please forgive me if I ask stupid questions. I would like to ask if there is a difference between Bluetooth Modules that state: "for Arduino" as well as those that don't. If they are different, does it mean that they have different programs to program each of them or does it mean that some configurations need to be done so that the Bluetooth Module will be compatible with Arduino Boards?

  • Its not about Arduino. It's about communication port you are using. For example if you are using BLE modules, which are configured over UART using AT commands, you can use any controller which supports UART for communication with BLE. Same for I2C and SPI. No module is state for arduino until and unless you are using specially designed Arduino Shield with that module. – Vaibhav Apr 18 '19 at 12:20
