I have an ESP32 acting as a Access point with multiple devices connected to it. Is there a way of sending notifications of some sort to a mobile phone that is connected to the network?

All programming on the ESP32 is using the Arduino core.

I need to send the notifications accross the wifi network to alarm on a smart phone where internet may not be available?

  • if your ESP32 is purely an access point then no – Jaromanda X Jan 12 at 9:01
  • only if the phone is connected to the AP of ESP32 – Juraj Jan 12 at 10:05
  • Yes. It is possible. The |ESP and the Phone can communicate over the WiFi. What you do with that is entirely up to you. Write an app for the phone that communicates with whatever you have programmed on the ESP32. You have to work to do this. There is no lazy way of making it magically happen. – Majenko Jan 12 at 11:19
