I need my Arduino to communicate with a USB device. The Arduino will be the host, so I need USB Host library, but I can't understand how to start coding.

On the documentation of the device I see:

I've read the examples of the library, but still I can't understand how to get the report.

  • What is your usb device? – Jot Jan 8 at 15:41
  • What USB host shield are you using? – Majenko Jan 8 at 15:45
  • I am using USB Host shield 2.0 and my device is 10000-count professional dual display DMM series – Rodrigo Emiliano Jan 8 at 15:49
  • I would first test the shield and library with an usb keyboard with USBHIDBootKbd.ino – Juraj Jan 8 at 16:09
  • You need to write a report parser class (extend the HIDReportParser class). Take a look at the HID/scale example for one that uses custom (i.e., not keyboard, mouse, etc) HID reports. – Majenko Jan 8 at 17:42
