I have a LOLIN32 and want to connect it to a 7,5" Waveshare E-Paper. I select the GxEPD_SPI_TextExample and select the display class and then upload it. I do not get any errors, but the display simply does not react. i mapped the pins as documented in that sketch and i successfully ran test sketches to see if the board is working, but for some reason i just cant figure out how to reach the display.

this is the board i am using: https://www.amazon.com/ILS-LOLIN32-V1-0-0-Bluetooth-MicroPython/dp/B079121KR4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1526622288&sr=8-1&keywords=lolin32+lite&dpID=51CqB6r9pIL&preST=_SX342_QL70_&dpSrc=srch

  • What example? Where is it? – Majenko May 16 '18 at 13:18
  • By mapping the pins as documented in that sketch, you mean SS=5, DC=17, RST=16 and BUSY=4? And the board's SPI pins 23/19/18? – Majenko May 16 '18 at 13:21
  • i dont know what SPI pins are but yes, i mapped them exactly as stated for the ESP32 - i also tried removing the 16/17 (RX/TX) Pins one time which was suggested by someone but nothing happened still. – Flying Thunder May 16 '18 at 13:25
  • Please edit the question to include a circuit diagram using the schematic tool and add the full actual code you're running. The example sketch has a lot of things commented out / changable. You have the right pins connected for the HSPI peripheral? (github.com/espressif/esp-idf/blob/master/docs/en/api-reference/…) – Maximilian Gerhardt May 16 '18 at 16:42
