I'm looking for this 16-channel item:

16-Channel Analog Switch Module/Digital MUX Breakout Board

...But just 2 channels. Basically one lead tells if the singal lead should travel down path A or path B. The advantage it has over the 16-channel is that it only needs a single lead instead of 4 to do the switching.

I can't find anything like that, but it seems like it should exist. Is there a term for this?

  • @KIIV I'm reading the PDF white paper, and it appears so. This is a 3-grouped 2-channel switch, correct? As in it's 3 of these switches built into one module, each working independently besides leveraging the same ground, etc, connection? – Ranger Feb 14 '17 at 16:18

    Yes, there are three independently switched 2-to-1 analog multiplexers with common Enable input. Switched voltages must be between +Vcc and -Vee (but Vee can be connected to the Gnd terminal - it doesn't have to be negative) – KIIV Feb 14 '17 at 16:26

    You could use that item, but just connect three of the four selection pins to ground. Only connect one to the Arduino. You can now select between two channels. – Gerben Feb 14 '17 at 18:32
