This is my Java code to send a value to Arduino and a receiving value from Arduino. Can anyone tell where I made a mistake? I am able to send the value but can't receive a value from Arduino.

Here is my Arduino code, which receives a value from Java and prints it accordingly:

EDIT: There is no problem to controlling arduino via Java code, the problem is that I can't received message from Arduino to display in a Java.

    I don't see any initialization of serialPort or serialEvent being called anywhere. And I doubt you will be able to open the port again, if it's already opened by Arduino object. Also you are reading a line from the Arduino and parse it as an integer, but the only thing you are sending from the Arduino is the string "Succesfully received.". – gre_gor Feb 9 '17 at 23:18

You are writing a number as a single byte and expect it as a string on the other end.

Replace

val = Serial.parseInt();

with

val = Serial.read();
  • sorry i forget to mention that there is no problem to controlling arduino via java code, the problem is i cant received message from arduino to display in a java.. – Stenzin lobsang Feb 9 '17 at 17:13
