I am having trouble uploading a new program to my arduino micro. I first flashed the blink example program to the board and that worked. However now whenever I try to flash a new program it either cannot fine the port of it just gives me a general error. I have selected the right model and port in the tools menu as well as press the reset button right before the upload stage. This arduino micro has an external power supply. Here is the error code:

Sketch uses 4,244 bytes (14%) of program storage space. Maximum is 28,672 bytes. Global variables use 154 bytes (6%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2,406 bytes for local variables. Com 1 and 4 are default to this computer

Thanks in advance for your help.

This problem was fixed by restarting the arduino IDE by the exe instead of opining it from an .ino file.
