I have loaded the Arduino IDE on Windows 10 32-bit on a 64-bit machine. This is my kids' laptop so they don't have admin privileges but, I installed it with admin privileges.

I have restarted the laptop, but the IDE does not start when I try to open it. I am not signed is as administrator.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

OK. I figured out it needs to run as administrator.

Thanks for your consideration though.

  • You shouldn't have to do that. How exactly did you "install" it? – Avamander Aug 19 '16 at 19:24
