Oct 31, 2014 at 7:17 | comment | added | ForgeMonkey | You can use SoftwareSerial (arduino.cc/en/Reference/softwareSerial) to declare new UART connections from almost any pin (on the Uno, some limitations on other boards). I can't remember if the SPI on the ICSP header is simply the same as pins 11,12,13 or if it's used for the Atmega16U2. Either way it's not going to free up 11,12,13. | |

I'm thinking using of SparkFun's SM130 Eval Board with the CC3000, but CC3000 have SPI so 11,12,13 are exclusive for SPI, although it has ICSP header also for SPI, (would this header make the pins 11,12,13 free?) | |
