I was reading the ATMega34u2 datasheet and trying to figure out Sleep Mode. I know most people recommend using avr/sleep.h library. But I wanted to try out using the registers. I am fairly new to all this so sorry if this an easy question but I can't seem to really find anybody doing it like this.
When checking which registers to adjust it says this:
The SE bit must be written to logic one to make the MCU enter the sleep mode when the SLEEP instruction is executed. To avoid the MCU entering the sleep mode unless it is the programmer’s purpose, it is recommended to write the Sleep Enable (SE) bit to one just before the execution of the SLEEP instruction and to clear it immediately after waking up.
Now I understand setting the bit but what exactly is the sleep instruction? How do I call it in my arduino program?
